The Role of Aluminum in Graphitic Carbon Nitride Synthesis from Tiourea

The synthesis of a composite material based on graphitic carbon nitride by pyrolytic decomposition at 550 °C mechanical mixture thiourea with the addition aluminum powder in amount 5–30 wt.% has been studied. According to scanning results means electron microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and diffractometry synthesized consists nitride, sulfide, residual metallic hydroxide. excess is due partial interaction sulfur-containing volatile substances formed during thermal thiourea. It shown that intensity width photoluminescence spectra composites are determined concentration initial mixture. As increases from 5 30 wt.%, maximum shifts long wavelength region 534 560 nm. This can be used create optoelectronic devices nitride.
